Microdermabrasion

Mechanical exfoliation incorporates corundum crystals and gentle suction to gently glide over the skin to reduce the appearance of brown spots and hyperpigmentation, fine lines; sun damaged skin, large pores and visible scars. This is for any skin type except skin dealing with rosacea and broken capillaries. A series of five is highly recommended for the greatest results.

Waxing

We use a several different kinds of depilatory waxes depending on the area needing depilation. Green and French white wax are for sensitive areas and peach and honey waxes are great for the bodily areas! Treatment of the following areas are available: Upper lip, Brow Arch, Full Face (excluding arch), Chin, Under Arms, Bikini, Lower Leg Wax, Full Leg Wax, Back Wax, Arm Wax.

Eyelash Tintng

BOTOX®

BOTOX® is a natural, purified protein, which blocks nerve impulses to the muscles that cause wrinkles. When we frown, the skin is gathered into a fold causing a chronic furrow or wrinkle. When BOTOX® is injected into the muscles, they relax, and the skin that lies over these muscles smoothes out. BOTOX® can be used for the horizontal frown lines in the forehead, frown lines between the eyes, the "crows feet" around the eyes, and necklines and bands.

It takes the BOTOX® three to seven days to work, and will last for three to four months. Repeat treatments will be necessary to maintain the desired results. You may have some bruising and redness at the injection sites, but this resolves within two to three days. You may cover these areas with makeup.

Dr. Hackney has developed a special numbing cream that is applied to the skin before the BOTOX® is injected. Our office has found this to provide more numbing of the skin than prescription or over the counter creams. If more numbing of the skin is needed, ice is applied to the skin with the cream.

Collagen

Collagen is a fibrous layer of protein, which supports the skin. As we age the collagen breaks down causing wrinkles and lines to appear in the skin. Zyderm and Zyplast collagen are natural substances derived form highly purified bovine collagen, which is injected into these lines and wrinkles just below the skin surface. Immediate results can be seen after collagen is injected and the results can last form 3 to 6 months. Just like natural collagen, injectable collagen eventually breaks down, so on going treatments are necessary to maintain the results you desire. Collagen can also be used to enhance the fullness of the lips. Before beginning your collagen treatment, a simple skin test is performed on your forearm to see if you develop sensitivity. You will have to watch the area for four weeks before you have your first treatment. Approximately 97% of men and women tested have no reaction to the skin test and are able to proceed with the treatment. Although you might have slight redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection sites, this should resolve within a few hours.

Sclerotherapy

You can bare your legs without embarrassment! Painless injections of a solution help to reduce spider veins for a more youthful appearance of the legs. Depending on the extent of your spider veins, up to three treatments may be necessary to obtain the best result.

Sclerotherapy is a procedure that reduces the appearance of leg veins. A solution is injected into the vein to collapse and eliminate the appearance of veins. There are several types of veins in the leg that can effectively be treated with this method.

These include:

• Spider veins: a group of veins that spread out from a center point.
• Simple linear veins: thin lines that run separate from one another.
• Arborizing veins: (usually located on the outer thighs) form a tree branch like shape of thin veins.
• Reticular veins: dark veins that sometimes bulge. These can be treated if they are not too large or inflamed.
